    Sure it's the amp?

I wear my watch in my right hand and the pickups on my bass reproduce the sound niceley :)

on a serious note, i cant help you with the source of the problem but i have experienced a ticking sound from my v-4b. the first time i fired it up after it was shipped to me it "ticked" a bunch of times and never has since. it was an audible sound coming from inside the amp. could have been a cap going or something but thats an entirely uneducated guess. does it do it all the time?
