I have the opportunity to choose between getting a SVT V-9 (70s, dunno what the V is), a Bassman 300/Sunn 300, or a Trace V4 head. Both are in my price range. I've played all of them and would probabally be happy with any, but I was wondering what the pros and cons of each are?

The SVT V-9 is pretty similar to just a plain vintage SVT. The Sunn has a similar power section to the SVT but a much more versatile preamp with more features than most solid state amps. The Trace V4 is only 200 watts as opposed to 300, but if you like power tube overdrive in your sound and can't be overly loud, i'd take the Trace.
