Swaping out Pickups

Im considering putting a set of EMG active J's that I have in one of my basses.

The bass itself has active 9 volt electronics, The pickups are passive.

The EMG's that Im considering putting in are active and require a 9v as well.

The only time Ive ever switched pickups was to put the ones in my mim dlx into my mia dlx, and that was easy because its the same circutry and both have passive pickups.

Will this be procedure be the same or am I looking at something a bit more complex. I ask because of the need for the 9 volt battery on the EMG's and the need for the 9 volt on the etronics in the bass.

I put this in setup because its dealing with mechanics involved of doing the switch, not really about the pickups itself, but Hambone and Merls if its in the wrong forum I do apologize.
  2. No sweat Lovestar, the guys in pups will fix you up!
