I was not happy with the so called “mint” condition, but it was so light and it’s resonance so sweet, I kept it.

Select Ash. 5.5 pounds with original AVRI neck plate & screws, original bridge, original grounding plate in control cavity, original strap pins; added grounding plates in PU cavities, replaced strap pins with Schaller lock straps (box and originals and Schaller strap parts included). That is all perfect.

The finish has some slight swirls. I polished it for a pretty nice finish compared to when I got it from Stratosphere a few months ago. There are still some slight impressions where the PU covers were, and slight finish imperfections near screw holes. You can’t see any of that without close inspection. Otherwise excellent.

I removed minimal material so I could turn the truss rod nut (Modern USA neck) without removing the neck.

The grounding wires are already soldered in place for you and the grounding worked great (perfect/quiet) with vintage PUs (from early 70s) installed.

I pack well, ship fast, and always insure/track etc. Let me know if you have any questions.

Here is a picture of the bass all together and one of the bass without the PU cavity shield (before I polished it) so you can see the little fender sticker in there. I had it wired up with an Emerson control kit with treble bleed. Awesome! I still have the loaded control plate, PG, and PUs. Let me know if you are interested in any of it. I may have to switch things up and sell my P Bass.

It looks great without a PG. No massive PU cavity or circular hole like the modern USA / MIMs.

With a modern USA neck it was very light compared to other basses. Estimate it weighed low 9s. 9-3, 9-4 ish
