i don't want to hurt any feelings, but the body is just ugly. i like a lot of other foderas, but i really don't like that. everything else looks good. :meh:

Double cutaways on the AJ models do a love/hate thing with me.

Hmm - all I noticed before was that the BIN price was $5200 - I think I thought there was a reserve. If that goes for under $3k, somebody got a deal!

My thoughts exactly... Too bad I'm Conklin poor at the moment!! :(

  10. I hear ya, PZ! If my bass funds weren't thoroughly encumbered, I'd be giving that one some thought myself. The AJ body isn't my favorite, but I like the clean look of the woods on that one, and the piezos are icing on the cake. It would definately be a good deal if it goes for under $3k.

Big "if." Time will tell but I'm guessing it'll go significantly higher than 3K.

It's been on eBay recently IIRC.

If it plays anything like mine, any reservations about the body style will probably go away. When you play it the body makes sense IMO. Here's mine.

    Hey Prog,

Congrats on your new Conklin, beautiful! Glad to see you're still enjoing my cd,LOL! Anyway, it's weird to actually see a Fodera(especially that year) with Piezo's in it. I've spoken to Vin & Joe about them & they kinda gave me a funny look & shyed away from the thought.

Regardless, I think the AJ6 pictured is gourgeous & probably sounds every bit too...

PS: What controls the Piezo's volume etc on that thing? Maybe internally?

  15. I don't really care for the body shape either, but the rest looks good and I'm sure it sounds and plays great.

I don't know if I could handle the 36" scale at the first position, though. I have a hard enough time with 35".

    Prog,

Just for that, I'm gonna send ya a shirt & our new release(when completed)!!!

    Brad, beautiful specimen.

Everyone else, as "weird or ugly" as you think the AJ body style is, it's extremly comfortable to play strapped & on your lap + the 36" isn't much difference from a 35" at all, unless you're a 34" & under othrodox player...
