I am not much of a singlecut fan, but this one fine looking bass! It sounds good too!
Oof. I could see myself ordering a custom, AJ-inspired Sadowsky some day in another life.
That is really smart. I was initially dubious about every builder and his dog jumping on the singlecut idea, a movement which has accelerated as of late. Some designs were never made to be singlecut, but this Sadowsky looks really smart.
I’m sure it’s a fine bass. For some reason the single cut look hasn’t grown on me yet.
How do these balance on lap and strap ? I think that’s what throws me off visually . Looks like it wouldn’t balance corrrctly .
I never play sitting down, but my SC (not a Sadowsky) balances on a strap as well as or better than any "conventionally" shaped bass I've played. It's actually a big selling point for this format IMO and IME.
Love the look of this Sadowsky and a few other bolt-on SCs I've seen. I especially like the way they handled the lower cutaway.
I am not convinced one is better than his other models. The original design I believe came from Fodera, with the idea from Anthony Jackson. Roger started with - and continues - to make fender style bass with added sadowsky tones and woodwork. I guess it has its place in the Sadowsky line-up. But being better than his original style, not so sure or at least not the sound all its users (current sadowsky owners) are looking for.
This is a sweet Will Lee model. Bass Buddha is getting in some impressive inventory.
I love plexi pickguards on Jazz Basses with figured bodies.
And spalted maple has always intrigued me.
That is a sweet freaking bass!
Interesting looking ...... to my ear this bass does not sound pleasing.
Would have enjoyed more “bass” playing on the demo.
What the back looks like
Roger is staying in business.
Put flats on this bad boy and enjoy. Looks awesome.
I don't know that one of those would work for my style, image or wallet, but I sure would like to get to play one someday.
I agree ... to my eyes its the best looking SC on the market. If Roger made a medium-scale 24-fret version, I would own three of them today!
it's a sadowsky of course it's going to sound good!
Quite honestly, the first good looking single cut to my eyes.
Never was a fan of that style, until just now...
