swr 4004

  1. hey everyone, i was just wondering what an swr workingman 4004 head is worth. I can get one for 450 can. is this a deal, or not?

  3. I'd say pass it up. If you're looking for a head, put that $450 towards something else.

    I would definitley pass. Im pretty down on my rig right now. Not worth it. I got it for about 300 new and it isnt bad for that price. You can do much better for 450 I think. Or at least a little better.

    The stuff on avatars website looks pretty good.

    There's a Casino that I play in somewhat regularly that uses that head and the Workingman's 410 as backline. It's not a good thing... one of the worst sounding heads/cab combo's I've ever played out of... weak bottom and a horrible, clacky treble response. I assume their Workingpro line fixes some of these problems.

    I'd avoid that like the plague... Eden's Nemisis line is vastly superior IMO.

    Check out the new Eden Silver series also... it's great sounding stuff for the $
