SWR BASS-750 AT 2 OHMS

    Phoenix. Az.
    Anybody loaded this amp down to 2 ohm and lived to tell the story, Owners guide calls for 2.6 ohm min. Are thay right?

    My brother fried his Bass-750 when running at 2 ohms. At 2.6 ohms it's fine as long as there is good ventilation.

    Thanks for the info Fast slapper. anyone else have any wisdom on this subject?

    yeah, it looks like fastslapper has good wisdom on it.

    SWR 750 at 2 ohms = NO

    I agree, I would avoid it. In fact right now I am running my amp at it's minimum impedance every night and I am looking at it hoping it won't overheat.
