I posted this question somewhere else, but I'm not getting many thoughts. Hopefully you guys could help...?
I just wanted to ask a question to those familiar with this amp. Is $650 a good price? I found a NOS model in a store right by my house. They have had it on the floor since 1999!!! He showed me on the store computer that that was his cost back then and that he would like to at least recoup his original cost. I'm just wondering though if I waited to find one on Ebay if it would be much cheaper. I have only seen a Baby Baby Blue which went for $530 not too long ago. Any ideas? Thanks in advance

  2. For a NOS amp with full warranty, that seems like a great deal--I see them go for $500-600 used in good shape when they pop up.

I'm not a big SWR fan, but I think that is one of the good ones and for a NOS amp, the price is right. I picked up a NOS Trace Velocette a few years ago for dealer cost and sold it two years later used for a little more than I paid for it. If you've got the money, go for it. It will be hard to lose on a deal like that.

Thanks all for your input. I'm going to go for it.
It'll be a little while though. There is only so much
money a teacher (whose students keep bailing out of lessons because they didn't practice ahead of time) can make :scowl:
a bit of frustration...sorry for venting it out here.
Take care to all. God bless!!!

    +1 Good deal

"We Are Music" at 5709 W. Irving Park Road in Chicago has a NOS BBII that you could probably get for about the same price plus shipping if your deal falls through.
Their number is (773) 545-2539 and they are an honest dealer. If memory serves they may also have an NOS Redhead.

    Best of luck.

  9. One of the great bass amps not loud but tone for days and the most excellent recording amp. The "moreme" function is fabulous for tracking! I love mine. Michael Manring uses two.
