I will be checking. I can get a pretty darn good price on the SWR stuff.

Me likey will have to check out.

That sealed 4x10 Light might be very interesting coupled with my Goliath IV 4X10. I've been looking for a 4 ohm Cab to go with my 4 ohm Goliath 4 but have been hesitent to go after another GIV 4x10 for two reasons 1 the weight and 2 was thinking of something with more pronounced Mids.

    Hmmmmmmmmmmm.

J/K.. Neo's are superior drivers in every way except when it comes to certain sounds. I prefer neo's myself but jeez if another company jumps on this ship it's going to loose buoyancy and sink.

Whoa -- sealed neo 410 -- must hear this thing.

The specs on these look great.

These could be COOL. First thing I thought of when I read this: NEO version of the venerable SWR SuperRedhead and Baby Blue combos running about the same weight as the Markbass stuff. I did some awesome stuff on a SWR Redhead. First great amp.

I'm hoping that SWR has found a way to make a cab like this sound "normal". Their sound has been so consistent over the years that it seems like it would have been a gate for them.

Someone posted these awhile back in here. I'm looking forward to hearing them. I'm happy with what I have now though, so I probably won't be jumping on this bandwaggon.

  13. Interesting.... I have an old Goliath Jr that I loaded with eminence neo drivers. Sounded pretty good, but I blew one driver. Well, not "I". Never loan a 2x10 cab out to someone to gig on and assume they'll add something to help out on the bottom end. It did sound awesome while it lasted, but no way of knowing how the "custom" SWR speakers will sound, different cab, different drivers.

I've got the regular eminence in it now, so far so good... Sounds awesome paired with either a 1x15 or an avatar 2x10 neo cab.

What I don't get, is the Marcus Miller version. SWRs have always been light on low end, more mid/trebly cabs, right? I'd say they've always been great for Marcus style tone. Not sure at all I'd want to accentuate the mids/highs EVEN MORE...

Well I took the plunge today and ordered one. They couldnt even tell me how much it would be. The Marcus Miller Cab that is.

I have the current Goliath IV 4x10 Cab and been wanting to add something to it but wanted to add something a little different. The 1x15/1x18 Cabs do not come 4 ohms and just havent been at all convinced to add just another GIV 4 ohm. Having a Cab that sounds a little different is more interesting to me. Something that has more Pronounced Mids and more Old School sounding to me would be more appealing.

I find sometimes I would like a little more Midrange Growl from my rig though I do push the Mids in my current Rig.

I'm using the SWR Marcus Miller M2 Preamp into a Lead Sled Poweramp into the GIV 4x10. Adding the Marcus Miller Go Light 4x10 to me would augment my rig in a good way and be a lighter cab for when I just want one 4x10.

the only thing that makes me wonder about the sealed neo cab is, almost every other cab builder using them is concerned with ventilation around the neo structure.
I wonder how they will do in a sealed cab.

Heat can weaken the strength of a neo magnet.
How much heat?? Dunno, but I've heard enough mention it, so there must be something there.

  17. 300ºF. This is the temp at which it will start to weaken. If it isn't allowed to get hotter than this, it will fully recover upon cooling. Hotter than this (320º or so and up) will result in permanent weakening.
