Hello everyone and thanks for any and all help/advice given!! I have an SWR Goliath Sr that i bought new back in 2000. Anyways i had it for a few years sold it and repurchased it. Anyways that is irrelevant.. Since SWR has went out if business does Anyone know where i could purchase parts for it? The input/output/attenuator control plate on the back seem to have a short on the input jack. I don't have anyone very close in my area that i could take to repair it. I know the jackplate houses the crossover and stuff. Any advice on this issue would greatly appreciated Thanks again
There are no factory parts available, but the good news is that any QUALIFIED service tech should be able to repair it with minimal off the shelf parts and some knowledge/experience. It should not be an expensive repair either (unless it's been messed with by a repair attempt).
No repair attempt whatsoever. I learnt that lesson many years by trying to fix something else and didn't work out so good.
There is a shop called ProTec in Maryland that can fix you up. @Al Kraft has a real good shop in VA that could also do the repair but may be more expensive.
The Virginia shop is Music Technology on Prt Royal Road right off teh Bletway Braddock Road West exit. Doug and Bill are the gents I work with there. IME these guys are as top notch as it gets with expectional skills and experience. Even when it's a difficult issue it always feels a little like you have a Ferrari mechanic tuning up your lawn mower...they're just that good!
What's their hourly rate and bench minimum. There website is amazing. Sometimes you don't need a brain surgeon to put on a band aid!
Thanks for the info guys!! That is awesome. I think that drive is a little out of my liking being its about 6-7 hours away!
