SWR LA12 sound in a big rig

    I really like sound of my SWR LA12 amp.

    I especiall like the sound of the LA12 when I bypass the preamp section by using the MixIn power amp input.
    It is not the typical SWR sound (I know, because I played the Redhead, GrandPrix, SM500 and ST220 for a long time).

    So in fact it is the sound of the power amp and the 12" speaker.

    Does anyone know of a rig that sounds like that.

    Ever play an old Workingman? Those were known to be very sweet budget SWR's. If you can try one out sometime, I think you might like the results.

    How about say 10 La 12's? I liked the La 12, especially for my acoustic fretless. It seemed to me to mostly flat and clean. It did get a little "boxy" sounding at times. I would think that some of the more transparent amps would sound like that, Clarus or Iamp?
