I've been reading the previous posts concerning the mo' bass head; seems to me that they've received a verdict of unreliable, weak clean tone, and under-powered.

So, how's the preamp? I heard mention that swr released the mo' bass pre as something closer to really being an swr preamp w/ great effects. I've got an swr sm-500 at present, how does it stack up, tonally? And how are the effects, the consensus seems to be mixed?

i have to say... i played one through a goliath 610 cabinet, and i dont know what rigs you people play but 900watts through a 610 sure didnt seem under powered to me!

i thought the clean tone was fine and all the effects were great (cool compression). the front panel is actually set out REALLY well as to not be confusing, so it may look like theres "too much **** on one amp" but there isnt really.

im kinda sold on this head, so im probably biased
