I am going to build a handcart for my cab and amp head. However, i need to know the dimensions of the head. Swr lists "3 1/2 and 8 3/4 deep" but not its width. I am guessing its about 16 inches but i need the meausrement to be exact.

    :help:

The body of the chassis is exactly 17 inches wide. 19 with the rack ears.

The one I had years ago did not have removable rack ears. They were part of the front piece just like SM-400's.

no the rack ears are not removable.

  6. The rack ears have mounting holes with 19" centers. You can get rack rails that have the correct vertical spacing on them at most of the big mail order places. Or you could just screw it into a couple of pieces of wood.
    Either way would work fine.
