I bought an SWR workingmans 4004 head, and have it currently hooked up with a 1x15T cab. It recently blew out, and i have heard on more than one occasion that SWR amps blow out more easily than other amps. Is there a way that i could get more power out of my amp by using a preamp or another cabinet?

I do know that they get hotter than other amps, maybe you could adapt some kind of cooler to your rack?

I wouldn't agree with that statement. I've owned 7 SWR amps and only had one problem occur and it was covered by the warranty. I haven't used much of the WM series gear but from what I've heard it's also dependable gear. I'd just get it repaired (at a reputable service center). Chances are you won't have any more problems with it. ;)
