    Hi everybody!

I want to buy my first piece of amplification soon. On my local store, they have at a really good price and perfect for my budget a SWR Working Pro 400 and a Little Mark III, both amp heads. I play in a death metal band (but I practice and jam to all genres) and in all this time, I've noticed I prefer a warmer, bassy sound rather than a bright or middy one, I now own a Yamaha TRBX505 bass and commonly use the active sound of the pickups for mostly all the occasions, so I want to know which amp gives more that style of sound. I do not have a cab by myself, however, I can use an Ampeg 410 borrowed from a friend, and I'm planning to carry the head to all gigs where a cabinet is available

I've been reading and notice that commonly people say SWR gives brighter tone, but the bass amplifier its a massive feature on it, and MarkBass has rounder tone but its far more expensive, But I'm trying to read new advices and what you people think regarding my equipment and band genre.

Thanks a lot, any advice will be well received!
    Greetings from Mexico

For Death Metal, I wouldn't choose either of those amps. I'd look at the GK 700RB or 1001RBII
