Greetings All- I'm interested in opinions on this amp for both URB and electric for low volumne gigs. My research says this is one tidy amp for either type of situation. Currently running either a Fender Jazz or Kay URB with an Underwood, both through a Sadowsky pre and then to a Polytone Minibrute III. The Poly just doesn't get, so I'm looking to replace it. Any thoughts? Thanks, Jack
I have used a WM12 for plenty of smaller gigs on both BG and DB. Nice small unit. You may have trouble keeping up with a drummer though. You may need a outboard preamp before the WM12. I use either a bass eq stompbox or a SansAmp ADI before going into it... that helped too. Enjoy!
I have a WM12 for small gigs...EUB in a classic blues band. It's fine for that setting...good bottom end and just enough volume. I'd second the suggestion of the preamp for URB...my American Standard with Underwood sounds a lot better through my Fishman Pro-EQ.
I use a WM12 for my upright gigs - both big band and small combo. It sounds good, it's incredibly portable, and I got it for 200 beans. (thanks el bass)
