i was thinkin about the ampegs, but i found a forum that said they were really really unreliabe. So i narrowed it down to these two. The SWR has more features, but i hear they have a a weird sound. What do u think??

The SWR can drive an external 8 ohm cabinet, allowing it to produce 120 watts.
The best thing to do, is to try both with your bass, and decide which one you like better. I wouldn't say the SWR is weird. But it's different than the Bassman.
Check out an Ampeg B100R. Plenty of people here at talkbass have them, and haven't had anything bad to say about them.
Ultimately, it's gonna depend on which tone you like best.
    Hope that helps. :)
