I have often liked to carry my bass with me on trips so I can play when I have some free time. This is alright when I travel by car, but plane is another story. Until my last trip, when a tuning key was broken on my SR5, I have never had any problems. Now, I am considering getting one of those $90 SX basses because if it gets lost, broken, or stolen, I'm not out of that much money.
