    Hey

Need your help. I'm either going to get a SX SJB-62 4+1 QMD 5 String (http://www.rondomusic.net/sjb6241qmd.html) or a Douglas SB-35 Ash (http://www.rondomusic.net/sb35.html). Both 34" scales, both sweet looking. But, I'm leaning toward the SX for looks, Douglas because it has active electronics and is supposed to sound real good. Anybody have either of these??? Or have played one? Just looking for a little input as I cant go to test them.

  2. check out the sx mega thread it will tell you all you need to know

I had a 4 string version of the QMD - sounded real good, very warm acoustically too. Pickups were nice and hot, and sounded alright...

The active electronics in an inexpensive are probably not very good.
