I don't know if anybody knew that they restocked (briefly) the green vintage series SX bass. I pulled the trigger (happy I did) and it's already out of stock. I can't wait for it to get here. :D

There is only one left of the vintage sunburst old head stock. Jump on it...LIKE NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yeah it's the one I wanted almost a year ago, and I'm surprised I got the chance to own it. I can't wait for it to get here. The wait is driving me nuts!

posted this is the SX club thread too, but i feel bad:
    "rondo is teasing me.
they have some 4 and 5 strings listed with the old headstock, but none are in stock.
i freaked out when i saw the black 5 string jazz."

A while back I was joking about soon to be sky high prices on "vintage" SX basses! Cripes. In the modern world it seems you can't say anything nuts enough for someone not to actually do it.

Last week I sold my SX fretless for the same amount I paid for it six months earlier. If I sold my MIM P I doubt I could get half of what I paid for it.

  15. SX Vintage Green Jag. The bass I sold, then the next day tried to buy back , but the guy refused.

I snagged the last black Jazz/maple neck. :D I don't really care for the color but:

    1. I wanted another SX w/the old HS before they go away forever and start commanding $200+ on FS/FT
    2. Though I don't care for black, it's better than the fake QM finishes (IMO)
    3. KingRAW stole the last Green Meanie ;)
    4. I wanted another Jazz, period

I may put a tort PG on it...we'll see. :)

If you put a tort guard on it, that gonna be a real nice looking bass. I can't wait to get my green one so I can put a tort guard on it. Geez next week can't come fast enough.

Thanks, KingRAW; I'm thinking that too. I'm also thinking about stripping the neck but am afraid of it not coming out right...don't want to see little bits of the old stain around the frets, etc. Also afraid of losing the decals.

    But I'm imagining Black body+Citristripped neck+tort PG=Mmm-mmm good! :hyper:

Your green meanie is gonna be awesome. I was going back and forth about buying it, finally I thought "Just put it in the cart and think about it" ...and it was gone. :p

Well at least not all the spoils were lost. This is my second with my first being a Ash PJ. Funny thing is I was bummed about not being able to buy a Ibanez Fender copy from 1970 that was 450
