    This album kicks ASS!

    It is weird at first...

I didn't like it until I heard the closing of soldier's side...

    Then it suddenly became rad....

Mezmerize/Hypnotize together non stop should be rad.

    :hyper:

I thought kinda the same, although "Attack" and "Hypnotise" themselves are rockin tracks. Its not as good as mesmirise, no sir. Mind you, I've mainly been listening to Steal this album lately. Now that, is a rad album!

I love all of system of a down's cd's. There is not one song that SOAD has put out that I did not like. Although no record beats the ingenious design of Toxicity.

Ah man, I couldn't STAND IT. I can't even listen to any of it!

    To each his own.

  5. I have listened to Mezmerize almost every day since I picked it up.

I've heard Hypnotize wasn't all that great, but I'll still give it a shot.

It seems to be me only but Hypnotize is ten times the record Mesmerize is.

I liked some of their older stuff (first 2 albums). But now the guitar player sings too much, I can't stand his voice.

Agreed. I could tolerate the occassional background vocals from him on Toxicity, but now that he's almost singing lead on alot of songs, it's horrible.

  9. I also agree.

I think Hypnotize is far better than Mezmerized but Daron I think, really needs to cut back on the singing, his voice is pretty annoying after a short while.

My fav System albums are the first one and Toxcity. Steal this Album was a joke and every copy should be burned. And the Mezmerize/Hypnotize are very "Meh" to me.

    My $.02

  12. darnen's voice is very good for harmonizing with serg, but beyond that i don't like it. i have yet to hear all of hypnotize so i can't comment on it, but i love all their stuff. system of a down was the best one

I thought Steal this album was better than toxcity. But I expect I love it because Boom reminds me of playing Zelda on my Snes... :D

if you listen to it from start to finish you'll dig.

It's one of those disks you have to do that with, when I first got it I was like uch, but when Soldier Side finished I was hitting play again:)

Unfortunatley it sounds like there will be more of him singing. I saw SOAD on Uranium the other night being interviewed (went slightly better than the previous one) And they spoke of moving toward sharing lead vocals. :scowl:
Something about how when the met the guitarist was a singer and Serg was doing keys. That was about the only useful thing learned in the interview, the rest of the time they came off as arrogant and silly. :ninja:

Well then they're not getting my money again. The I almost bought mesmerize until I realized there was more of him singing on it.
