    In a Lucky Charms Box.
    I MUST know what pedal the bassist for system of a down uses to get that tone

    like in the song ariels u can hear it best someone tell me!:mad: :mad: :mad:

    shavo definately uses a gibson thunderbird now,
    his amp i'm not sure what it is,
    i'd guess it to be an ampeg svt setup.
    but i don't know, but this thread belongs in setups
    not effects.

    OK, cos I'm a helpful chap:

    Eponymous:

    Ibanez BTB 405 and 515
    Ampeg SVTs
    Ampeg 8x10s
    Compressor
    Overdrive(I think...might be driving amps)

    Toxicity

    Gibson Thunderbird
    Gibson SG-Z(used in recording anyway. Rickenbacker too)
    SVTs
    8x10s
    Compressor
    Plays cleaner on Toxicity

    This is what I gather from live shots, my ear and interview pics. Also the video on the Toxicity Ltd Edition has some gear parts on it.

    in my own little spot... don't touch me!
    I know he uses a SansAmp PSA-1 and Ampeg SVP-BSP for distortion, while recording he used an Ampeg all tube SVT head with ten loaded cabs. I have no Idea what flanger/phasor he used on the opening of Psyco. That fat sound he gets probably mean he uses a tube compressor.

    he uses an Ashdown ABM 900 EVO II Head x 4 ABM 810 Cabinet x 4
    (thats his amp btw ) he also uses a Gibson Thunderbird VI

    ive seen them twice and both times he was using ashdown abm 900 heads into ashdown 8x10 cabs and a gibson thunderbird bass. i didnt notice any pedals.
