I'm selling my Tacoma Thunderchief CB10C acoustic bass sn J1635020. I purchased it in July of "06 from Jim at Atlanta Bass Gallery. It's been in the case the whole time except for a couple of sessions and learning some songs at home. It is in excellent condition - two very small dings are shown in one of the photos. The bass sounds and plays great and is set up perfectly. The case does have some nicks, scratches which were there when I bought it, but is in perfect working condition both inside and outside.

The bass comes with the case, preamp manual (Fishman Prefix) and trussrod wrench. Asking $850.00 shipped to lower 48. I accept Paypal or money order for payment. Feel free to ask any questions.
    Thanks,
    Joe

Bump for a lovely sounding and playing ABG.

Owned one for years. Sold it. Hate myself for doing so:crying:

Don't mind the dings. The delicate finish is prone to them, but is an essential element in the instrument's tone.

Joe is a great bassist and is the Will Lee of the ATL music scene!!!

Hey Man, I'm working with Ocean St. for the next few weeks, covering for their regular bassist till he's back from his semester at New England Conservatory. As usual, it is always an honor to learn your bass lines!

ya, I wish... you and Tommy Vickery are the cats, that us Atlantan bassists look up to.

Back on topic... What kind of preamp is in it? Can you use regular strings or just Phos-Bronze?

Did you get an oppty to check out the Blue Burst Tacoma that Jim had for a while?

It's got a Fishman Prefix preamp which is great. In addition to 4 bands of EQ, it has a phase flip and notch filter... essential features for controlling feedback.

This bass came strung with D'addario EXP Bronze which seem perfect, but I tried TI Acousticore and those sounded great as well. I just didn't like the feel. As far as I know, any strings will work fine.

I did see the Blue Burst Jim had. Way cool.

I sold one like this awhile back. These are excellent instruments and as I understand it they have either switched or are about to switch production to China, making this US made one even more desirable.
