Taking Off A Bolt-On Neck Helpful Advice

    This might have been mentioned before, but I just wanted to offer some simple advice when taking off a bolt on neck.
    To avoid having to take the strings on and off, all you need to do is loosen the strings, and put a capo on the first fret. This will lock the strings in place for when you reattach the neck to the body. See the pic below. Hope this helps.

    Yep. Pretty much standard procedure. Been done for decades.

    I figured most people knew this, but there was a time when I didn't. So just thought I would mention it.

    Thanks, D Bopp. The only time I have taken off a neck, I was changing the strings anyway. Capo was new to me.
