I was really looking forward to seeing a Tal Wilkenfeld show next week, but I was just informed that the show has been cancelled because she was involved in an automobile accident.

There isn't much info online yet.

    To my Japanese fans,
I regret to announce that I am unable to perform my upcoming Japanese shows due to an automobile accident. We will be rescheduling the dates soon. I thank you for your patience, and continued support. I am sorry for any inconvenience this may have caused. I will be there as soon as I am able, and I am very excited to play you the new music I've been working on!

I'm obviously bummed about the show, but this is no time for me to be griping... I just hope she is ok. From the sound of it, she will be rescheduling dates, so it sounds like she is ok, thank goodness.

Just hope it wasn't serious and that she will be ok soon...

She was in a rear-end collision (someone hit her ) around Oct. 3.

This was posted on her twitter account yesterday

"as soon as I'm physically able, I will reschedule. I'm doing ok, getting better slowly, day by day. "

Can't imagine not being able to play bass due to something like that. I gave up racing mountain bikes for that very reason... the last season I raced I saw at least 3 of my division mates break arms/wrists/collarbones. Yick. Hope she recovers quickly!

Rear Enders are notorious for back injuries. Best she doesn't add any stress until healed and has some therapy.

I got crushed in 2004. Was 6 months before I could handle even the weight of my Danos.
