Some may have seen a previous thread I made about a pizza joint I used to work at.
Click here to read it if you missed it and have a strong stomach.

I quit that job and became a security guard a little while down the road. That is where all these stories take place.

It was my first night on the job. I had no training and as such, no clue what I was supposed to do at this site beyond not fall asleep. Not too hard really. I was "guarding" a hotel that was nearly complete. Now when I was told where I was going to be, I was just told it was going to be a construction site, nothing more. I thought I would be on the edge of town. Not so, I was at a site that shared a parking lot with a bar and grill. I was happy to see that if I was in trouble, I'd be near people so I could get help. By the end of my stint on this site I would learn to hate being anywhere near a bar.

Most hotels, especially upscale hotels like this one, have one thing in common. They all tend to have pools. This hotel had two inside and no locks on any of the doors. I was doing my rounds through the creepy interior of this hotel when I hear a woman's voice and a giggle. Then I hear splashing. I start creeping towards the sounds and wondering who decides to go swimming in a construction site. I get to the pool section and look in to the area and see five nude trespassers. I take my radio and walk down the hall a bit and try to get control to call the cops so I can get the naked people off my site. I'm not sure, at this point, what I should do in the case of nudity and trespassing so I figured that this was the best course of action. I was told that I was to escort these people off my site and under no circumstances am I to touch any of them. Because I'd do that  I spend a few more minutes in agony trying to figure out just what I should do about this. I decide to just bust in and break up the party. This was a mistake. I stomp in to the room and the people see my jacket and the badge and run out of the building with no clothes. I shrug my shoulders and start to gather the clothes. I take the load of clothes to my car and put them in the trunk. Several hours later a cop rolls up behind my car and asks me to step out and talk to him. The conversation basically boiled down to him asking me if I could get the clothes for him. He was trying very hard not to laugh through the entire thing. Turns out, one of the guys got pulled over and the police eventually decided to come and get his clothes for him.

Alright, there's a start, anyone else with a night job (or day job) that has funny stories about work incidents, post away

Night jobs are the worst if the general public is involved. I worked at an all night restaurant for a while, frequented by drunks from across the street and strippers they picked up. One night, a pair of drunks decided they were going to leave without paying. They staggered right passed me, I thought nothing of it, you assume they've paid already or someone else in their party will. They get outside, and drive a block away in a taxi cab. The cabbie was inside looking for the two drunks that called for a ride. It was all very interesting to watch, the look on the cabbie's face when his car was gone, the manager running out the door, and a cab that would jam on the brakes every 10 feet as two drunks tried to remember how to drive at 3am and way over the limit for blood alcohol levels.
