    Hey guys (and girls) -

I have two basses I love: my 2008 MIA Fender P and my Custom Shop Jazz. I am so very tempted to take the neck off the Custom and put it on the P ...

    Will this fit ok?

Check out the Warmoth website. They list the actual measurements for replacement necks. That should give you an idea if the swap will fit.

    they'll fit, but i wouldn't switch them.

  4. If you love them, why switch the necks? Try a g&l sb-1. Its a P bass with a j neck.

Bad idea to mess with a custom shop instrument that you really like. I wouldn't.

If you want a different neck on the MIA, buy one. Leave the CS bass alone.

    Don't do it!

My input would be keep it the way it is, unless you really don't like P bass necks. In which case, buying a new neck would be the best bet.

Yeah, I gotta go with the flow here. Leave them alone. Buy a P bass Special or something.

Thanks guys... off the ledge. One of those momentary lapses of reason!
