    i don't know how muhc money that would cost Paul...but if it was possible...wouldn't it be cool to have your own TB email address?
    like [email protected]

    maybe a perk for supporting members?

    the main thing is how muhc it would cost Paul..

    but anyone else have any feedback about the idea?

    it might be alright, but an e-mail server costs bunches. It uses a lot of bandwidth, needs TONS of storage, more maintainance costs. It's just not a great idea. I am sure its a labor of love for this site to exist. It might be cool, but it wouldn't be worth it.

    We did do this a while back, but I dumped the idea... The TalkBass server goes down now and then for maintenance, upgrades, etc., and I didn't feel I could offer enough reliability to users expecting email to come through all the time... Maybe someday a separate server can be purchased for the sole purpose of email/web accounts...

    ..or if you ever decide to upgrade TB with a new server.. use the old one (this one) for emails.......
