So I am at the office waiting for a client to show up, so I want to log onto TalkBass and check a thread I responded to. 'Turns out the office has an internet filter that doesn't allow Access to TB because it's classified as an "entertainment" site!

It did allow access to TabCrawler!

Edited to correct a spelling error.

Thats because Tabcrawler is too un insightful to be entertainment ( i have 2000+ posts their and just recently stopped going there bc i relized it didnt help me at all) Talkbass is better than tabcrawler in every way except you can have pictures in your sig at TC. (i have an aawesome animated .gif tool sig on there).

haha, actually that`s like a HUGE REASON to hate tabcrawler with passion

it's just plain annoying and useless...

i went there just for kicks but had the signatures disabled because it freakin gave me either seizures or headaches

also, how many *Mark Hoppus - Tool - FiElDy - Dirk Lance - Goth drawings - MTV bands* jpgs and gifs do we really need?

    seriously

And what's really funny is that when I tried to type Talkbass into the address bar, with the first 't' I typed, "tabcrawler" dropped down. Someone else in the office was on TabCrawler!

    I wonder who?

  6. Tabcrawler is extremely entertaining. But you can learn something from Talkbass. People also know how to spell.

I'll admit, I logged onto TabCrawler at home last Sat. to see if I could get lyrics to a Stones song, but got "no satisfaction". I did find 'em elsewhere.

I just found the whole thing more funny than anything else.:D

Reason for classifying as "entertainment": some co-worker has noticed that "Bass Porn" -thread is open on your screen.

My understanding of these "website blocking" proceedures is that if the site is visited often enough, and it's not work related, they block it. As always I could be wrong......
