Hey, Tampa Bay area bassists -- come on out. Great event hosted by a terrific touring bassist.

Last year's ThunderDome was a great time, and great chance to meet lots of area bassists. This one will be even bigger.

    Thanks for posting this, R.

Great, great event, with closing performances by ex-Ellington bassist John Lamb, and Andy Irvine's old fusion/funk trio Beanstalk. Terrific performances by a wide range of Tampa Bay area bassists -- fretted, fretless, extended range, upright. And a GREAT hang for area bassists -- tons o' mutual respect, admiration, friendship, etc.

With any luck, there will be a 3rd annual event, next year. Interested? Look up Andrew Irvine on Facebook.

  6. I had a great time and I wasn't even one of the performers :)!! This definitely needs to continue. I loved the spirit of community if created amongst all of us bass brethren. Thanks to Andy and everyone that helped put this event together. If I would've known about this sooner I would've signed up to perform, but I'll be sure to be in on this next year :D!!
