    Hi everybody!
I'd like to share with all of you my latest finished bass.

    Specs are as follows:
    Scale: 35 - 33''
    Body: Raulí
    Top / Headpiece: Zebrawood
    Neck: 5 pieces Maple
    Fretboard: Wenge
    Inlay: Epoxy resin
    Radious: 16''
    Pickups: Mazzarino HB set
    Electronics: Bassalto 3 band preamp
    Nut: Black TUSQ
    Tuners: Hipshot ultralite
    Tuning: EADGC
    Strings:Magma Flatwound
Finish: Satin Lacquer on Body, Truoil on Nec

For this build, I wanted to increase the value and beauty of the wood itself through design. When I saw that perfectly aligned Zebrawood top, I came up with the weaving concept (hence the name). First I took pictures of the wood and started the render with an editing software I use. Once the design was made, I used laser to cut the pieces and assemble the puzzle. Electronics cavity cover was also made with this method.

Laser was also used to route a custom 12th F key inlay, later filled with epoxy resin.

Regarding the bass itself, it was designed and thought with the customer to be light, comfortable, and suitable for chord melody. The body is made of Raulí, a beautiful and light local wood. The laminated maple neck gives additional stability, and the Hipshot ultralite tuners avoid neck dive and extra weight.
For the playing aspects focused on chord melody, we used a EADGC tuning, flatwound strings, and a comfortable upper frets acces to reach those high notes.
We also made our own wooden knobs, with the same woods used on the bass.

    Hope you like it!

Thanks! I thought the Luthier's Corner was only for ongoing builds, not finished ones. If so, I'd surely be posting this one over there.
