I'd be happy to run one. Anyone interested?
Tell me what you guys think.
Oh, c'mon, somebody has to be interested.
I'm thinking illegal gambling may be something frowned upon by senior managment here at TalkBass.
psh. "Illegal gambling" and "senior management" are words that mean nothing to me.
Seriously, though, are we not allowed to do this? There was a hockey pool recently, eh?
I was unawares of the hockey pool. To my knowledge, office pools are illegal. Will you ever get prosecuted for it, doubtful.
So why not do it?
i'd be up for a "just for fun" pool.
Because obeying the law is fun, and makes you feel good.
Where's the fun in that? (besides having a sig for a year that declares you TB college hoops champion - oh wait that might be worth it) But then I'd have to grade all of the entries for nothing
I think the lack of responses to this thread tells you what "us guys" think.
I think someone should tell Alex's mom that he's trying to start an online gambling pool and see if she sells his bass too.
Don't give her ideas!
see, that could be fun.
Well I don't want to grade all of those brackets. Could we trust everyone to be honest about their scores?
Second Round (Oakland and Washington divisions):
16 (Oak and Wash):
I'll post the other half later.
wait doesn't ESPN have a league manager thing that will calculate it all for you?
I have a bass player's bracket already set up at espn.com You'll need to register with them to get a user account, but they don't spam if you check/uncheck all the little boxes right.
Highest ranking sheet at the end recieves a FABULOUS Los Blancos prize package*
Just fill in your bracket and then choose the "join group" option.
Group name: McNamara's Banditos
It is case sensitive, so type carefully or just cut/paste
And BurningSkies, you are a funny mofo (sell Alex's bass)
(prize is not actually fabulous )
How do we sign into the group and what not?
oh figured it out
