Hi all! I was given this bass to see if I could fix it up...it works but need s lot of help. Before I dig in, I'm wondering if any of you have any history on the maker, model, vintage, etc. It's an HH configuration with active electronics. Here are some photos:

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Best regards!

Very nice American made basses, IIRC. I'd ditch the preamp and put something high end in there. I recall the company went out of business and I'm almost sure a TB member bought or assumed all the parts and was trying to make a go of bass building. Not sure what happened.

Yeah, they make? made? nice stuff, good quality without stupid prices. I have one in the living room that doesn't get played enough.

I almost picked up that same model a month or so ago. That is the TBC equivalent of a Sabre. They are great under the radar basses.

Unfortunately, I can't get the bow out of the neck. The neck's pretty straight (i.e. not twisted), but the bow is severe. Something's up with the truss rod. Someone has obviously been cranking on the rod adjustment pretty heavily.

Not sure if it's worth investing in. :(
