tea pot whistle from my mesa buster bass

Discussion in 'Amps and Cabs [BG]' started by groovking, Aug 4, 2001.

  1. i suspect preamp tubes, but im not sure. would anyone have experienced this. noticed when bass is plugged in or not it doesnt matter, it still does it. sounds exactly like the whistle of a tea pot boiling, not real loud but loud enough to suck. thanks all!

Shouldn't fixing the cap problem be covered under the warranty? If not then my respect-o-meter for Mesa products just went down a notch.
