I'll be moving to Lowell in July - anybody know a good teacher in the area? I'm looking to learn both classical and jazz.
    thanks.

Actually, that luthier is on talkbass. look up Mark Carlsen under the "Members List" at the top of this page. He will be able to connect you to the right teacher. G/L!

  5. Dan Greenspan is a teacher out of Cambridge, Ma.
IMHO he is one of the best bassists around. One of the most personal sounds on the instrument, and a great guy. Happening in terms of jazz, and is wonderful with arco technique as well (he used to be a cellist)
    Email me for his number

When I lived up there I studied with Mark Pucci in Arlington. He was a great classical and Jazz teacher. John Lockwood is also a great teacher if you can get in touch with him.
