OK, I want to start lessons again, but my old teacher is booked solid, and two other people I've tried have stopped giving lessons.

Does anyone know of a good instructor in central CT? (Hartford area)

Bob Laramie at Dynamic Percussion. It's a store for drummers but, Bob is the only one there who teaches bass, and this guy is amazing.

I already called them. Bob's wife had a baby so he no longer has time to teach. Believe me, he was my first choice.

Wow, thats awesome! The baby part, not the fact that he's not teaching anymore. Lame.

I just saw this guy play live tonight and I am so far in awe I am going to need a wheelbarrow to drag my jaw around for awhile...

Yea, I felt the same way, and I saw him play almost 20 years ago.

  8. How about Mike Asetta? He is over near Portland now, and he is still doing some teaching.

He is mainly a URB player but he doubles on electric. I think he is a good teacher and all around good guy.

+1 on Dave. A great guy, an outstanding bassist and an excellent teacher! :bassist:
