    The Compactor is a noisy affair (at least the two I had were).

    If you want a decent comp pedal, spend a little more for a Demeter.

    I like it- but only if you don't turn the compression past 9/10 o clock. After that it gets hissy and woolly. Using at as a straight boost isn't noisy with mine- perhaps they have some quality control issues.
