Just wondering the major differences between these 2 preamp/DIs
One big one is that the BDDI is specifically designed to emulate the sound of a miked SVT, while the Enabler is (IIRC) not an amp simulator.
Thanks! Does the Enabler sound good? Cant seem to find many clips on it...
It sounds great! super clean and accurate
though it has a gain knob, it doesn't over drive, I think it's strictly for headroom
headphone amp is crystal clear with tons of headroom
bongomania nailed it, the amp sim is the biggest difference
another big difference is no mid suck with The Enabler (way better EQ on the Enabler imo)
but I like the 'drive' feature of the BDDI
The Enabler DI imo, is cleaner
BDDI can be phantom powered or battery powered,
The Enabler needs at least 9V power ... can use 12V (no battery, no phantom)
Thanks a ton!
