Tech 21 Sansamp Bass Compressor

    What exactly does a compressor do and what effects does the compression have on your sound? The details on it say that it can compress from 1:1 to 15:1. Whats that mean?

    think of it as making the loud parts quieter and the quiet parts louder. It sort of helps keep you at a more even keel, a little bit of which is a good thing. It's very useful if your playing is varies a lot dynamically. --->Click Here<---- a link that describes how it works.

    edit: I have the bass compactor and find it to be a very high quality pedal compressor. Very good value for the money too. +/- $80.00
