How does this sound with bass? What can it do?
Im looking for warm overdriven sound like the Fender bassman has. And also would like a heavier thich dense distortion sound.
    Can this pedal do this?

Well, I know the TRI-AC works with bass pretty well. You can listen to the samples on the Tech21 website. I believe the Tri-OD is just the effect pedal version of the Sansamp TRI-AC. They look virtually the same. I'd probably try the tweed setting to get close to a Bassman sound. As for thick dense distortion, I'm not so sure you'll find it with this pedal. It is only an overdrive after all.

I played a new Tech-21 pedal at NAMM, I forget the EXACT name of it, but it was badass. I'm thinking i'll get that over the BDDI, it had a lot more distortion and cruchiness to it, I think, but it could be too much for some guys.
