Tech 21 VT Bass 500 .... Observations and Questions.

Hi All...

I recently purchased a VT Bass 500 from the TB Classifieds. Digging the tone but not quite sure the amp is working properly. So for all or any VT 500 users, here's my observations....

Turning the amp on and with nothing plugged into it (no bass) with a 4 ohm load, the fan comes on after approx 2 minutes. Ramps up to high in another 2 minutes. Inserting 1/4" dummy plug into the headphone input disconnects the output (power module) from the circuit. Within about a minute the fan shuts off. So... my question is this... is it normal for the fan to come on so quickly at idle?

I have reached out to Tech 21 and they answered quickly and said it was normal. I'm just wondering what other users are experiencing.
