i know that the tech21 sansamp rbi has a balanced and unbalanced outputs, question: if i were to "split" the balanced signal 1=PA/1=amp would that degrade the signal any?
..or should i just use the 1/4" unbalanced output to my amp.and keep the xlr output to the PA..
    thanks.

send the unbalanced to the poweramp. the whole world does that. you won't run into any noise issues running a 6" cord from the preamp to the poweramp/amp head. most rackmount preamp's full range outputs (for sending to a poweramp) are unbalanced.
