Yep.. this thread is dedicated to everyone that is freezing their respective rear ends off. It is currently -13F with a -26 F windchill here in Denver. It hasn't broken freezing since saturday and teh high was a whopping 1 degree today. I'm a plumber so this really sucks.. SO... Who else is freezing hard and has an un-regulated thermal enviroment? Speak up!
Yesterday is was 40 degree celsius here (I think that's over 100) and today its 33.....suffer in your "frozen" jocks!
On Saturday I spent 15 mins at a bus stop. Waiting to be pick up so I can jam with the band. Yeah it was like -3.(28?) Walking a block with my bass and an amp. Wearing my jean jacket. Taking the city bus, to jam with my band. Yeah I'm cool now
I just had to partially rewire my taillights on my truck in 10 degree F weather, with wind blowing, on concrete and snow.
We are having our first cold spell, the low is something like 18 degrees fahrenheit. We had a little snow at the beginning of the week with a threat of more this weekend. Soon it will be in the single digits and below. I hate this weather, I should have been born somewhere closer to the equator.
I'm having trouble with this 28 degrees in San Antonio...I don't know how you guys can deal with anything lower...
I'm sweating like crazy down here. Anyone remember the scene from Terminator 2 when Sarah Conner has a vision of Armagedon and the children's playground ignites under the heat? That is how hot it is at the moment. <-actual picture of my face.
It's -16 C (3 F) here right now -25 C (-13 F) with windchill. It's not too cold yet. I don't have to wear longjohns to work yet and I'm laughing.
Not as bad as some of you, but we have snow and it's going down to 8 tonight. Wind chill is a killer though, it was 1 when I walked the dog. No telling how low it's going to get.
Was -6 when I got up at 6 am. Hit 15 for a high. Back down below zero tonight. It's tolerable. We wouldn't live here if it wasn't and to me it wouldn't be Christmas without the cold and snow. To me not much diferrent than when I lived in Nashville and couldn't really spend any meaningful time outdoors in July and August because of the heat and humidity. Same thing in AZ. Take your pick. But I wouldn't move for anything.
You live up nort der, hey guy. Cripes, I ain't headin' nowhere near nort of Fond Du Lac dis time of year.
Cry eye! Yoose not dat far nort. Now Torp, dat's up der nort, der ya hey! Not as nort as dem yupers, don't cha know.
Down here in North Houston we're supposed to wake up in the 20s (Fahrenheit), which is the coldest we've seen all season. It'll also be raining all night (perhaps snowing?) so hopefully I'll have a chance to use that window frost remover on my car in the morning.
I'm just thankful that my furnace was finally fixed yesterday! went without heat for a whole week as i waited for my replacement heating coils to come in.
You know now guy, hey... I don't tink I've EVER been up as nort as Torp, now hey. Maybe I should look at a map, but I've been up 'round Clintonville- no doubt. Come ta tink of it, I had a girlfriend dat lived in Stevens Point, dontchaknow... I remember cruisin' up 41 to 10 an' visitin' her in da dead o' winter now hey. And there's people wondering what the hell is going on... For them I say... "My name is Mel Kanoke, and I feel the power."
according to my dashboard widget it's 27F, it hasn't gotten much above freezing. Normally I would feel like a little girl complaining, but I have a 20 minute walk to classes between large buildings (read: windtunnel) in a jean jacket and a hat. I'm thinking about walking around with a flask of wild turkey to stay warm between classes. And to make the last week of the semester that much more interesting.
