I love Telecaster basses.
All shapes and sizes. Post yours, and rave at will!
Nice collection Chef ! ( I see you like the "reversed" bridge covers)
dont own any but i deffinately love em.
i want to get a warmoth tele style neck and stick it on a precision.
I thought the thing with the bass neck was supposed to be the thing were looking at.
Fail on my part.
That's what it's really a picture of; it's an anti-ski jump jig.
As cool as those are, I actually like basses with the tele guitar body.
I think Eastwood makes them, not sure who else though.
G&L makes the ASAT like that
Okay, so it's not a tele - rather it is my old 56 P-Bass - but the body shape and scratchplate are the same - does it count?
My DIY "Telecaster/Esquire/Broadcaster" bass:
James Hart, great colours and I like the design of it. But, isn`t "fretless precision" an oxymoron?
Excellent posts so far!
Early Precision=sure. One of mine was
GlennW=man, I looked for the thread on yer skijump setup for months and never could find it. Sned me a link?
Tho Squire basses impress the heck outta me. One of the best deals going, my Tele bias aside.
thanks... and ain't this a Tele Bass thread
Fender made Fretless Precisions throughout the 70s and do again now with the Tony Franklin sig
oxymoron or not... it's got the exact tone I was after
My 5-string Tele-P is based on Chef's '51-TeleP and currently being built by Rodent at Regenerate Guitar Works who built Chef's.
Here's my '68
PM me when it's done, I'm curious to see what you think of it!
Rod was great to work with throughout creating mine.
Rod has a forum on his website where he's started documenting the builds he has in progress.
