Yeah, I wanna hear what rigs you have.

    Currently my setup consist of:

    1 Warwick Streamer LX 5
    1 Yamaha RBX6 JM
    1 Warmoth Fretless

    And I play it through

    1 Morley A/B Box
    1 Hartke 3500 AMP
    1 Hartke 4.5XL Box (4x10 + Tweeter)
    1 Hartke 115XL Box (1x15)
    1 Warwick Power Amp (8 Line/Mic)
    1 Warwick Power Box (200W)

So my chain is like this:

Bass -> Nady 101 Wireless -> Morley A/B Box and then one goes into the Hartke and one into the Power Amp.
Both are equiped with AKG D550 Microphones to give it a little low end.

So tell my what you use.

  7. Ampeg Big Stud 4 String Fretted or Cort Five String Fretless > custom bypass box effects loop running > Boss TU-2 Tuner > Gallien Krueger 800RB > Bag End 4x10tweeter. The effects loop for the bypass box: Dunlop Crybaby Bass Wah > Boss Bass EQ Pedal > Boss Bass Overdrive > Moogerfooger LowPass Filter w/ Expression Pedal > Boss Bass Chorus > MXR Phase 90 > Boss Flanger > Ibanez Delay/Echo
hopefully replacing some of these pedals soon:
ODB-3 with Fulltone Bass overdrive or Budda Phatbass
Ibanez Delay/echo with Line6 Delay Modeler or really any good delay unit.
And soon as i get some more cash the Gallien Kreuger is probably going to be replaced because it isnt running to smoothly these days... not sure with what yet.
I am also saving for my StingRay w/ kahler trem

    Korg DT1Pro rack tuner
Digital Music Corp. Guitar Audio Switcher-has 8 loops which I run my effects in/out of, I use 5 of the 8 at the moment, and it mutes the signal when I tune. When a loop is on it is put into the chain, if off it is bypassed making every pedal I have true bypass.
Digital Music Corp. Ground Control-a MIDI control pedal for the Audio Switcher, basically it tells it what loops to turn on or off.

JMX, what are you using the Power Amp for?

I mainly use it to give my mids and highs a little bit of overdrive (just a little little little bit) á la John Myung (don´t ask my why, but I just love his sound).

What do you mean ?!?

It's just that I a separate preamp and poweramp (rackmount).

My setup is solid-state only btw. I like a clean signal.

    JMX,

what I meant was this setup:

2 Outputs; 1 goes into the bass amp, 1 into the power amp.
Then I simply cut a bit of highs and lows on the poweramp and boost the mids.
This gives me a very agressive sounding midrange.
The rest (highs and lows) is going thru the amp.

Power Amp = Clean Sounding ?!?!

    I never heard that, seriously.
