Tell me why I should buy a Spector Euro LX?

Good stuff. Thanks, I hadn't considered a Legend. I've read other things that say they're heavy, which for me is important. I actually pulled out my '96 Carvin LB75A and fired that up. I'm planning to put an Aguilar OBP-3 on it to see what happens.

I had very good luck with a Korean NS2 Pulse I picked up last year. Plays extremely well, very ergonomic, and sounds great as well. And at 7.2 pounds it has become my daily driver.

I have 10 NS basses (and a Coda) including USA's, Euros, and Korean models, and I love them all. If weight is an issue, I would look at the bolt ons. They're significantly lighter, although (aside from the brand new ones) the electronics are different than what's in the Euros. Personally, I have no issues buying used and swapping the electronics to get my tone. In my case, it's typically a 40P5 at the neck and 40DC at the bridge with a Haz clone preamp such as the LHZ. If you're looking for a 4 string Euro, then you wouldn't have to do anything with the pickups to get that classic tone, just swap the preamp which costs $145 and takes a half hour to do. Also, don't sleep on the Korean basses. They punch well above their weight.

Euro 4 are just incredible basses. God I love mine. Put new strings on it this week and have been missing sleep because I have been unable to stop playing it at night. They aren't for everyone ergonomically and tonally they are their own thing and this does not suit all situations but holy hell the things that it is good at it nothing else comes close.

Q - Why?

A -

Any questions?

well, yeah -
1) who's that?
2) why does it even matter?

3) Is the OP going to play in the band in the picture?
4) Is the OP playing in a cover band who dresses like them?
If the answers to both last two questions are 'no' than the real question is whether the bass in qustion suits his music and playing habits

That's for the OP to decide.
