Really dumb question. I'm trying to clean my SBMM Ray 4 (black body, maple neck) and, before I decide what to use, I need to know if the fretboard is finished or unfinished. I've looked online and I can't find out if it is or not. So if anyone knows how to tell between them (I assume it's very easy) or knows about my specific bass, please weigh in.

Well, if there is bark still on the fretboard, then I'm betting it isn't finished yet...

If it's a maple fretboard then yes it has a finish

I have the same question. Mine's a MusicMan Stingray 4 made in 2000. Is it finished or unfinished? I really need to clean it :D Hehe
