I have been playing bass 32 years. I recently switched to a Fender Jazz Bass from a Washburn. And, the thicker gradient neck really injured my left hand. I had a cortisone shot, and switched to a MusicMan, which has a thin neck like my Washburn used to, which seems to help. Is this a known phenomenon?

What do I do? The Fender sounds great. Is there a way to retrain my hand, or is it best to sell it?
