I am recording a new song with my band and I feel that in only one part of it, before the chorus, I can play the G instead of the E the guitar is playing.....It is a rock-pop song..what do you think about it and in wich songs I can hear that

    thanks

Clapton's "Wonderful Tonight" has a descending bass line. The guitar goes from G to D and the bass goes from G to F#.

If the chord is minor you might want to flat the third.
